Suwałki Tourist Organisation (SOT) concentrates on issues of tourist industry, travel agencies, hotels, recreational centers, agro – tourist associations, issues of promoting industry and local governments of Suwalszczyzna. Its main aim is to create and popularize an image of Suwalszczyzna as an attractive tourist place and to promote its values and tourist products.
In its catalogue, SOT has a lot of interesting offers for recreation in agro – tourist private rooms as well as for active recreation ( e.g. bike excursions and rallies, canoeing on the Czarna Hańcza and Rospuda rivers, ski rallies). Because of the location of this region in the northern part of the Podlaskie Voivodship, next to the Via Baltica route, there are also offers for visiting nearby Lithuanian regions (e.g. Vilnius, Druskininkai).
On the websites of SOT ( mentioned under the address) you can find offers for recreation in such well – known places of Suwalszczyzna region as the surroundings of Wigry Lake and Wigry National Park or Suwalki Landscape Park with the deepest Polish lake – Hańcza Lake.
