MDW E70 is a picturesque and diverse waterway connecting Western Europe (from Antwerp and Rotterdam, through the Berlin inland waterway interchange and northern Poland) with the Kaliningrad region and then the system of the Nemunas waterway (Pregola and Dejma to Klaipeda). The Polish part of the waterway connecting the Oder River with the Vistula Lagoon is rich in nature, with many historical buildings and towns. Constantly developing sailing infrastructure affects the development of water tourism and the improvement of conditions for inland navigation.
